On May 16-17, 2013 VolunteerMatch will gather its corporate clients for a day and a half of learning, sharing and networking. The 2013 VolunteerMatch Client Summit will feature several sessions led by corporate social responsibility (CSR) thought leaders. In this series of posts, we’ll introduce you to each of the speakers and what they’ll discuss at the Summit.

Name: Aaron Hurst

Title/Organization: President & Founder
Organization: Taproot Foundation
Best Practice Cafe Topic: “Aaron & Erin Challenge You to Take on Pro Bono!”

While it’s true that no two pro bono programs are the same, there are a lot of similarities when developing, executing and measuring pro bono in a corporate environment.

This year VolunteerMatch Client Summit participants will hear from Taproot Foundation’s Founder and Pro Bono authority Aaron Hurst in an interview with corporate pro bono enthusiast Erin Dieterich. Since 2010, Erin has successfully launched pro bono programs at two different corporations, NetSuite and Discovery Communications.

Follow along on the VolunteerMatch blog for CSR, VolunteeringIsCSR.org, to get insight and best practices into how to launch or redefine pro bono at your company. Learn about the challenges of launching a global or local program, the many models of pro bono and learn why Aaron and Erin LOVE pro bono.
