MK5K: 10 Years And Running!

More than 1,300 participants laced-up their running shoes for the 10^th annual MK5K in Addison, Texas to benefit The Mary Kay Foundation and their mission to eliminate cancers affecting women and end domestic violence. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month, this event was the perfect way to give back to these two worthy causes.

In 10 years, the MK5K has raised more than $740,000 for The Foundation. This year $113,406 was raised, surpassing last year's total! The proceeds from the MK5K, combined with overall donations from Mary Kay Inc., corporate donors, individual contributors and Mary Kay independent sales force members, allows The Mary Kay Foundation to provide millions in grants each year to domestic violence shelters and innovative breast and ovarian cancer research projects.
