With the new school year approaching that means we are just a few weeks shy of a brand new Action Team year! Let’s throw it back to 2009 with our #TBT 2009 Action Team PSA featuring Major Leaguers Curtis Granderson, Jake Peavy and Shane Victorino.
ABOUT THE ACTION TEAM
In 2003, the Major League Baseball Players Trust and Volunteers of America created the Action Team National Youth Volunteer Program to recruit and train high school students to become volunteers in their communities. Major Leaguers help inspire and encourage high school students to serve as Action Team Captains, who in turn deliver an important message to their peers: volunteering is cool, fun and personally rewarding.
