SOURCE:VetsBridge.com

DESCRIPTION:

It’s well documented that IBM-born Watson is capable of many complex computer programming issues. But, can Watson help military veterans transition back to civilian life? According to IBM Senior Vice President Mike Rhodin, the answer is, yes! The online program is equipped to help vets with everything from resume writing to how to take advantage of the G.I. Bill.

An article outlining some of the options appeared last week in several media outlets. It noted that unemployment rates for U.S. veterans continue to stand lower than non-vets. Another article in Mashable reported that the program has analyzed more than 3,000 documents on topics related to military transition in order to provide the best service to its users, by providing them with “timely and relevant insights into the steps they need to successfully move to civilian life.”
