Collaboration Between NGOs and Corporations
SOURCE:Video4Good
DESCRIPTION:
Video4Good interviewed Nan Dale from Action Against Hunger at the COMMIT!Forum 2012 in New York City. According to Dale, corporate responsibility revolves around finding a common mission between NGOs and businesses, and letting each side bring something to the partnership.
Corporate partners provide needed expertise, dollars and equipment. NGOs have on-the-ground experience with community organization and facilitating behavior change necessary to create sustainable projects. Dale believes that collaboration between corporations and NGOs equal more than the sum of the parts.
