DESCRIPTION:
The America’s Cup is the oldest trophy in international sport, pre-dating the modern Olympics, and is a sailing match race whose beginnings date back to 1851. It has been previously hosted by the cities of San Francisco, Valencia, Auckland, San Diego and for several years Newport, preceded by New York City. Don WIlson is now working to have the sporting event happen in Chicago waters in 2017, as he heads the hosting committee.
