The Boston Business Journal announces the region's top corporate charitable contributors — 71 companies that gave at least $100,000 to local nonprofits in 2012. The region's top charitable companies will be honored at the BBJ's annual Corporate Citizenship Summit Sept. 12 at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel.
"These companies form the backbone of charitable giving in Massachusetts," said Business Journal Publisher Chris McIntosh. "We look forward to honoring them Sept. 12." In addition to honoring top local corporate benefactors, the Corporate Citizenship Summit acknowledges partnerships between firms and nonprofit organizations, and additionally, presents an annual CEO Social Leadership Award to a regional executive who has shown model ability to lead his or her company to constant and tenacious activity in the community service field.
