Eastman China Honored with Responsible Care® Merit Award

We will not only comply with local regulations and standards as always, but also collaborate with our partners to share best practices and foster a sound industry environment.”

In 2012, Eastman established comprehensive EHS and Responsible Care Management Systems in all Eastman China sites and advocated all facilities to participate in safety activities.

Now, two sites of Eastman in Shandong and Nanjing have been certified for safety production standardization. Additionally, in 2012, the Nanjing site was named an Excellent Safety Company by the Nanjing Municipal Government and Chemical Industry Park.

Eastman has also recently signed the Responsible Care® Beijing Manifesto with AICM to further demonstrate its dedication to the sustainability of the industry in China.

Representing over 50 multinational chemical companies operated in China, AICM is committed to Responsible Care throughout the industry and contribution to a sustainable chemical business environment. The Responsible Care® Award is designed to recognize member companies that are exemplary in the field of sustainability and corporate social responsibility. A total of 18 companies were awarded the Responsible Care® Chairman Award and Responsible Care® Merit Award.
